The modern internet sucks.

Yeah, I said it. That's not to say the internet doesn't retain a lot of its fantastic benefits, including being an endless encyclopedia of invaluable information, and giving anyone with a simple World Wide Web connection the ability to share their story.

But never have things been as dark and utterly dystopian as they are today. From the advent of Big Tech-controlled social networks, endless abuse and shoehorning of largely useless JavaScript, the malicious and sometimes illegal practices of governments and datamining companies alike that would make Orwell himself roll in his grave - that's only scratching the surface of the problems that plague the internet now.

I started this website to shed light on and give my take on all of these problems and more.

2/9/2023 UPDATE: Yes, I'm still here! The 'coming up' articles are still in the works. I do, however, have a life outside of the Internet and refuse to give myself any deadlines. They'll be done when they're done (probably sometime this month?)

A little bit about me:

My name is Trevor. I'm a staunch supporter of the United States Constitution and the unalienable Rights provided in its Bill of Rights, and believe that restoring Internet user freedom and choice is the only way forward. I enjoy using and promoting open source software maintained by independent developers free from the iron grip of any government or corporation.

Heh, you're just a random internet asshole! Why should I care about what you think?

I'm not telling, or even asking you to. As a natural skeptic myself, I'm gonna give it to you plain: As the author of this website, I am telling you, the reader, to take everything you read on my site with a grain of salt. Why? Because I do my best to encourage people to think for themselves, and not immediately take what just one person/entity says as gospel.

If we don't stop this madness, this will be the future of the internet...

Think I should make this website look 'more modern'? Fuck you. I'm sorry, but I don't need to, nor am I going to bog everything down with craptons of flashy parallax scrolling, useless JavaScript and other flashy 'modern' bullshit. Pure, simple HTML gets the point across just fine, doesn't it?
